Learn how to focus on the present moment – and as thoughts pass through your mind, accept them and release them.
  • Breathwork: The more stressed or anxious we are, the more likely we are to engage in shallow breathing. As a result, sufficient oxygen is no longer reaching the brain. Breathing deeply can immediately alleviate symptoms of stress. Breathe in and count to five, hold for five seconds, then slowly release. Repeat this pattern as often as necessary.
  • Yoga: Many individuals improve cognitive function by practicing yoga, which helps improve your mind-body connection.
